ReplyDeleteThere are no words of how much this editorial GROSSES ME OUT for multiple reasons;
-About Crystal in general: she has a NORMAL WEIGHT (in the "real world" - not the runway world!), so she practically makes all nORMAL women "plus-size" = FAT.
-This editorial depicts the negative stereotype about fat people: "that they would greedy stuff their faces like disgusting pigs all the time." HOW IS THIS VOGUE!??? This is just a disgusting breech of a taboo.
Absolutly no beauty there. Shame on french Vogue and shame on Crystal for participating in something that disgusting & degrading to herself!
There is also beauty in the grotesque.

Albeit taste is subjective and we are all entitled to our interpretations.

Still, I agree that these images are fantastic... and anything that confronts and get's us thinking in fashion imagery is to be welcomed, IMO. That's true art!
