The Cut reported yesterday that Vogue UK is having a redesign, set to debut in March 2011.
I have been saying for the longest time that both UK & US Vogue are in dire need of a revamp, as they are both miles behind the directional and influence of Vogue Paris and many of its Asian editions are making a strong impact world wide.
According to the Independent, Alexandra Shulman has stated that the redesign is to make the British style bible "to look less rigid,".
Elle UK had a very successful make over a few years back, perhaps this is the chance for Vogue UK to reclaim it's position.

Have a look at some of the less inspiring covers of the magazine in the past years.
What do you think?

What a difference a month makes!, Harper's Bazaar offers a stunning cover shot of the super suuuper model / mother /woman of the year Natalia Vodianova, styled by editor of 10 magazine, Sophie Neophitou-Apostulou.
There is no comparing last months unfortunate Renee Zellwegger cover to ms Vodianova's supermodel charm.

It's that time of the month again, when we dish about the new covers of fashion bibles around the world.
I've been drooling over this exclusive preview on Designscene of the new Supplementaire issue, featuring super model Simon Nessman, shot by Matthew Lynn who is the face of Givenchy a/w 10, H&M x Lanvin campaign amongst others.

Maria-Francesca Pepe S/S 11

Trace PR is a relatively new agency that has secured some of my favorite labels.
Standout for S/S 11 is Maria Francesca Pepe, who I posted about after her incredible presentation during fashion week. Jean Pierre Braganza is another incredible standout,a catwalk show I unfortunately missed due to styling commitments. Braganza's collection of soft leathers and boxy boyfriend jackets are simple divine.

who has some pretty chic knits for spring that are to die for.

Ultra wearable chic knits from Dagmar for S/S 11.

Whitechapel Gallery

My friend Alex at Talk PR informed me about this great fashion talk event happening throughout November @ The Whitechapel Gallery, organised by Elle UK.
The Art Of Fashion  talks will feature Erdem, Giles Deacon (17th of Nov) and Marios Schwab (24th Nov)
The talks kickstart tonight 3rd of November with Canadian born designer Erdem.
Erdem was the inagural recipient of the Vogue BFC Fashion Fund, earlier this year and showed to a stellar A-list fashion press at London Fashion Week in September.
Editor of Vogue UK and chairman of the Vogue BFC Fashion Fund, Alexandra Schulman stated :"I am very excited by the prospects that the Fund offers not only in terms of finance but in mentoring. In Erdem I feel we have a very worthy winner who already has an international reputation and who has the creativity and application that is needed to become a global business. He makes beautiful clothes that already have a recognizable stamp that is his alone."

It will be truly interesting to learn about the man and the creative process in his mind when creating spectacular fashions.
